Video Production That Doesn't End at Delivery

A video is not finished when it is delivered.

You use it, look at it, and decide what comes next. This page is about how we continue with you.

Video Production That Doesn't End at Delivery is how Gains Line continues video production: a contract of the same form whose content (shooting, editing, training, review of your edits) can be swapped month by month, with a review session where we decide together whether to continue, change the form, or stop.

  • Decide the use together
  • Swap the content month by month
  • Decide in a review whether to continue

Three common dead ends

If you have commissioned video before, some of this may sound familiar.

You shot it, but can't build on it

The video exists — but without the footage, nothing can be cut or swapped.

This is why we hand over the footage and the rights.

It doesn't last

The start has momentum. Without a place to decide what's next, it stops.

This is why we decide the next step in a review.

Nothing stays in-house

Each time you outsource, the know-how stays with the vendor. Only the video stays with you.

This is why we build toward "Run it in-house".

How We Continue

A team moving forward together

We decide together where the video will be used

Before we shoot, we decide who watches, where, and why. Once that is clear, length and format follow.

The content can be swapped month by month

Shooting, editing, training, feedback: pick what the month needs. "Keep publishing" and "Run it in-house" share the same form.

In a review, we decide together: continue, change the format, or stop

We look at what went out and decide what's next. Stopping is decided here too.

Promises

What we promise

  • We make something small, show it to you, and decide the next step together.
  • If you continue, we decide together in a review: continue, change the format, or stop.
  • We hand over the footage and the rights.

What we do not promise

  • View counts, subscriber numbers or any other figures.
  • Results such as "growth" or "more hires".
  • Speed.

What you receive, and what stays with you

  • Footage

We hand over the footage we shoot (storage is for a limited period).

  • Copyright

Copyright is transferred once payment is complete (except for our own pre-existing templates and assets).

  • Licences

Licences for music and similar materials may not transfer.

  • Revisions

The number of revisions is set in the quote.

Footage, rights, know-how: what remains after the video stays in your hands.

How it relates to "Try first"

Start with "Try first" and change the form if you want to continue — or go back to a one-off from an ongoing form.

The table scrolls sideways.

Purpose Make one piece and use it. Grow it while using it, until your team can run it.
How the term is divided Ends with handover and a check. Divided by month; each review decides whether to continue.
Your team’s involvement Decide the use, then check what we made. Join the reviews, and take on more of the shooting and editing as the stages progress.

About the team

Team, roles and the form of contract are set out in writing with our proposal.

You don't have to start with an ongoing form — "Try first" is enough. You don't need to know what to shoot yet. We take consultations from businesses.
